Danny Lee Ford is a retired American football player and coach who served numbers of football clubs throughout his career. Some of them are Clemson University, University of Arkansas, and Clemson Tigers. He is one of the observable coaches in the football history. Danny Ford graduated from Gadsden High School in 1996 in Gadsden, before attending the University of Alabama. During his year at the University, he played three bowl games and earned a bachelor degree in industrial arts. He also did his masters degree in special education from Alabama University before being an assistant coach for Alabama and Virginia Tech.
In 1978, Danny joined the team Clemson Tigers and at his first appearance, he led his team to the 1978 Gator Bowl defeating the Ohio State. Similarly, in 1981, Danny led Tigers to achieve first national title in the school’s 98-year history by defeating Nebraska in the 1982 Orange Bowl. In that respect, he became the youngest coach to win a national championship.
