Danny Lee Ford is a retired American football player and coach who served numbers of football clubs throughout his career. Some of them are Clemson University, University of Arkansas, and Clemson Tigers. He is one of the observable coaches in the football history. Until date, he had captured five Atlantic Coast Conference titles and won six Bowl Games. Moreover, he had also earned a name of the consensus national champion.

EDUCATION AND CAREER

Danny Ford graduated from Gadsden High School in 1996 in Gadsden, before attending the University of Alabama. During his year at the University, he played three bowl games and earned a bachelor degree in industrial arts. He also did his masters degree in special education from Alabama University before being an assistant coach for Alabama and Virginia Tech.

 In 1978, Danny joined the team Clemson Tigers and at his first appearance, he led his team to the 1978 Gator Bowl defeating the Ohio State. Similarly, in 1981, Danny led Tigers to achieve first national title in the school’s 98-year history by defeating Nebraska in the 1982 Orange Bowl. In that respect, he became the youngest coach to win a national championship.

In end of 1982 season, Danny and his team had some sorts of difficulties where Tigers were barred from bowl games and kicked off live television. However, he recovered his probation by winning straight three ACC titles registering top national ranking for the fourth straight seasons.

Including his great talent and coordination among the players, later he went to the University of Arkansas. On that point, he became a head coach on a permanent basis. As soon as he was declared head coach, he led Arkansas to a SEC West championship in 1995 seasons.

Danny Ford is one of the respected coaches of 80’s and 90’s era. As of now, he has coached 21 All-Americans and 41 players who had become NFL player in future. He had led his teams to achieve several titles during his career.
