Ronaldo's second goal was also his 400th goal in the European league top-flight football. With this, he became the only fifth player to cross the mark.

Ronaldo had taken his tally to 398 goals while in Real Madrid. He struggled to score in the opening three games despite having the most shots taken. He got the easy opening with the simple touch, back the net, however, his second goal was a pure class from the weaker foot with the powerful low shot in the second bar.
The Portuguese missed several chances which avoided him to get his first hattrick with the club.
Ronaldo's 400 European goals include 3 goals for Sporting Lisbon, 84 goals for Manchester United, 311 goals for Real Madrid, and two goals for Juventus. Only four players except Ronaldo have joined the elite 400-goal list.
Player | Goals |
Josef Bican | 518 |
Ferenc Puskas | 514 |
Jimmy McGrory | 410 |
Uwe Seeler | 406 |
Ronaldo seems to easily reach on the third place in the list. However, his real competition is with his rival Lionel Messi, who has 387 Barcelona goals.
