Youth Career

At the beginning of his career, Benteke joined the youth team of JS Pierreuse in 1996 and left the club in 2004. He then joined the "Standard Liege," where he played from 2004-2006. He also spent a year with the youth team of Genk.

Senior Career

Benteke began his professional career with the "Genk" after being promoted from the youth club. For the club, he has scored 1 goal in 10 appearances until 2009. Benteke has then signed a two-year contract with his former club, “Standard Liege,” with a transfer fee of €150 thousand. Loan Season

Benteke represented Belgium internationally, earning his first cap with the senior team on May 18, 2010, against Bulgaria, in a friendly match. Later, his first goal came against the Netherlands, and he became a starter for Belgium national team.
