Koepka is currently ranked Wolrd Number 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking after winning the CJ Cup on October 21, 2018. He is also the winner of the 2018 U.S. Open and PGA Championship.
Brooks Koepka was born on May 3, 1990, in West Palm Beach, Florida to parents Denise Jakows and Bob Koepka. He completed his high school education from Cardinal Newman High School.
For further education, he joined the Florida StateUniversity in Tallahassee where he started playing college golf. During his collegiate career, he won three events and was a three-time All-American.
Brooks Koepka began his professional journey by playing on the Challenge Tour in Europe in the summer of 2012. Not long after his debut, in September of 2012, he was able to win his first title at the Challenge de Catalunya.
Winning the 2013 Montecchia Gold Open, Koepka earned his second victory on the Challenge Tour. He claimed his third win at the Fred Olsen Challenge de Espana a month later and a fourth win the after three weeks at the Scottish Hydro Challenge.
With his three victories in 2013 alone, Brooks Koepka was able to earn a European Tour Card for the remainder of the 2013 season as well as the whole of 2014 season. The wins qualified Koepka for the 2013 Open Championship. As a member of the European Tour, he debuted at the Scottish Open claiming a T12 finish.
Koepka's first event of the 2014 PGA Tour was the Frys.com Open where he finished third. He was able to gain a PGA Tour card for the 2014-2015 season with a fourth-place finish at the U.S. Open. He was also able to get his first Masters invitation with the win. He finished 15th at the 2014 PGA Championship and was nominated for the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year award.

Brooks Koepka also competed in the 2014 European Tour, where he was able to win the Turkish Airlines Open. He was able to grab the third spot at the Dubai Desert Classic and Omega European Masters. He was named the European Tour's Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year.
Koepka was able to swing to his first PGA Tour event win on February 1, 2015, winning the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Witb his win, he climbed to the 19th spot in the Official World Golf Ranking. He was not able to win any more events in the year. He was able to claim the 6th spot at the 2015 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and a 5th spot at the 2015 PGA Championship. He gave up his European Tour membership in 2015.
Brooks Koepka won the U.S. Open title at Erin Hills, Wisconsin in 2017 which was his first major championship victory. His win tied him for the record of the lowest U.S. Open score at 16 under with Rory McIlroy's record of 2011.
After the end of the 2017 season, he underwent a wrist surgery which resulted in him to withdraw from the 2018 Masters Tournament. Koepka defended the U.S. Open title in 2018 at Shinnecock Hills. He won his third major at the 2018 PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club. Koepka won the CJ Cup on October 21, 2018, and climbed to the number one rank in the Official World Golf Ranking with the win.
Brooks Koepka was previously in a relationship with professional female soccer player Becky Edwards. The two have broken up and Koepka as they were not able to work out their relationship.
He is currently seeing the actress Jena Sims. Koepka opened up about his current girlfriend at the 2017 U.S. Open. The two are still together but there is no news of the couple looking to get married anytime soon to call each other husband and wife.
Koepka is the brother of Chase Koepka and is a good friend of Dustin Johnson.
