Brian Michael Rowe was born on 16 November 1988 in Chicago, Illinois, the United States to parents Myrna Rowe and Paul Rowe. He attended the South Eugene High School where he played for his high school soccer team. He was voted as the best defensive player in 2005 and was named the MVP in 2006. He was also selected for the first team all-district in 2005 and 2006.
Further, he joined the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He played four seasons for the UCLA team starting in all 44 games of the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Carlo Cudicini, the first-choice keeper of the Galaxy was out due to a leg strain which gave Rowe the opportunity to start as a keeper against the Real Salt Lake. He was able to earn a clean-sheet during the game with Galaxy winning the game with the score of 2-0. He was a member of the Galaxy during the 2014 MLS Cup victory.
Brian Rowe stayed with the team for three more seasons. He was traded to Vancouver Whitecaps FC by the Galaxy on December 15, 2017, in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft. Today He continues to play for the Whitecaps.
