Robert Bobby Williamson is professionally known as Bobby Williamson, a Scottish football player, and manager. He played as a striker for the football club Kilmarnock, Rotherham United, West Bromwich Albion, Ranger, and Clydebank.
Bobby Williamson was born on 13th August 1961 in Glasgow, Scotland, as Robert Williamson. He holds a Scottish nationality and belongs to the white ethnicity.
Bobby Williamson began his career with "Clydebank Football Club," a Scottish junior football club based in the town of Clydebank, as a striker. From 1980 to 1983, he made a total of 70 appearances and scored 28 goals.
Further with the transfer amount of 100,000, he switched to "Ranger Football Club." Unfortunately, after five months of signing to Ranger, he broke his right leg on a night out during a seasonal tour to Australia.
Williamson made his comeback in December 1984. He then moved to West Bromwich Albion in 1986, in part-exchange for Jimmy Nicholl, a Canadian-Northern Ireland, former international footballer. He has also played in the Football League for the football club, “Rotherham United," where he appeared in 93 games and scored 49 goals in two years.
In 1990, he moved back to Scotland from England and joined Kilmarnock Football team, a Scottish football team based in the town of Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire. For the club, he made 145 appearances and scored 38 goals. The team became his last club as a player.
Following the departure of former footballer/manager, Alex Totten, Williamson became the manager of Kilmarnock football club. In 2002, he switched to "Hibernian football club" and inherited a team that had gone league games without a single victory. It was a great challenge to him, but a win against St Johnstone in Williamson’s first match gathered him, huge respect and popularity.

In mid-2008, Williamson joined Uganda's national football team as a coach replacing Csaba Laszlo. Shortly after his appointment, he was given the ultimatum of winning his first two games against Benin and Niger to expand a contract. Additionally, he led his Uganda team to the 2011 CECAFA Cup as well as steadily improved their FIFA World Ranking.
Before joining Kenya's national team, he was a manager at Gor Mahia Football club for 1 year. In Kenya, he was replaced by Stanley Okumbia in February 2016.
