Blaise Matuidi- Second Juventus Player to Test Positive for COVID- 19 Soccer

Coronavirus has been widely circulating in Italy and the Italian Serie A league has one more player tested positive of the virus. Juventus and Frace midfielder Blaise Matuidi is the latest player to test positive for the result, the club announced on Tuesday.

The French world cup winner is the second Juventus player after Daniele Rugani to be diagnosed with the virus. In the statement, the Turin-based club said:

Blaise Matuidi has undergone medical tests that have revealed his positivity to the Coronavirus-COVID-19. The player, as of Wednesday 11 March, has been involuntary home isolation. He will continue to be monitored and will follow the same regime. He is well and is asymptomatic.

Several other players from Serie A team like Sampdoria and Fiorentina were also found to have been infected with the virus. Other league players were also tested positive for the virus including six of La Liga's Espanyol and around 35%” players and staff of Valencia including Ezequiel Garay and Eliaquim Mangala.
