Paul Donald Wight II was born on February 8, 1972, in Aiken, South Carolina to father Paul Wight Sr. He holds an American nationality and belongs to the White ethnic group. Further, his star sign is Aquarius.

Big Show completed his schooling from Wyman King Academy. After completing high school, he attended Wichita State University and acquired his Bachelor's degree from there. Later, he also attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville from 1992-1993.

Before going to a wrestling career, Big Show used to work as a bounty hunter. By doing the latter for a karaoke company, he met Danny Bonaduce on his morning radio show in a live amateur microphone contest. Bonaduce introduced his friend, Hulk Hogan, to Wight. The Giant teamed up with Ric Flair to defeat Hogan and Savage at Champions XXXII Clash, but Hogan was decisively beaten in a SuperBrawl VI cage match. The Giant won the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Flair after a short feud with Loch Ness. Following the interference of Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, Hogan defeated The Giant for the title in Hog Wild after forming the New World Order( nWo).

New World Order (1996-99)

Big Show joined NWO after winning the battle at World War 3 and asked Hogan for the Heavyweight Championship Title. He is also a two-timed winner of the WCW World Tag Team Championship. Big Show got Injured in the game at Souled Out with Nash. Nash left NWO and Paul returned to NWO again to oppose Nash.

On the episode of Nitro on 12 October 1998, Bill Goldberg defeated the giant in a match of no disqualification. In a show of strength, Goldberg carried out a delayed vertical suplex before the Jackhammer was executed on The Giant.

After merging of nWo Hollywood and nWo Wolfpac, Nash and Big Show fought for the Giant position and Paul got defeated. His contract expired on 1999 February 8, with WCW.

World Wrestling Federation(1999-07)

Big Show an expensive contract on 1999, February 9 with World Wrestling Federation. He fought against Steve Austin in McMahon's Cage and served as McMahon's enforcer. McMahon wanted to ensure that Corporation member The Rock retained its title at WrestleMania so that Big Show wrestle Mankind had the right to referee the main event at WrestleMania XV.

After McMahon slapped Paul, he struck McMahon and turned his face. Paul concluded his feud with Foley in a Brawl boiler room before joining Mankind, Test and Ken Shamrock in a stable known as The Union, which fought against the corporation and later the Ministry of the Corporation.

Big Show faced Undertaker in the 7th episode of RAW for WWF Championship, after a furious match between them, the referee forcefully stopped the match when Paul used chokeslam. Later, Big Show and the Undertaker fought against Kane and X-Pac forming an alliance and both won the WWF Tag Team Championship Title twice.

The show retained his WWF Championship title after winning against Boss Man. Later on, in the 3rd episode of Raw, Triple H defeated the WWF Championship Big Show. In an attempt to regain the title, Paul took part in the Royal Rumble match, in which he antagonized The Rock and turned his head again.

In addition, Big Show claimed that if he lost against The Rock he would retire from Wrestling and for this Shane McMahon, appointed himself as the special guest referee. Big Show was the first man to be eliminated from the Wrestle Mania 2000 match between Triple H, The Rock, and Mike Foley after the other three competitors worked together against him.

In the meantime, he played against many famous wrestlers Kurt Angle, The Berzerker, Rikishi, Val Venis. Paul was defeated by Shane in a Falls Count Anywhere match at Judgement Day, interfered by Big Boss Man, Bull Buchanan, Test, and Albert.

Later when Undertaker threw Show off the stage on he was removed from WWF tv for a remaining year on 2000 August 7 and he went to Ohio Valley Wrestling for his cardiovascular fitness.

He was eliminated by The Rock at Royal Rumble and started competing for the WWF Hardcore and No Way Out and was lost to Kane in a Triple Threat match, including Raven at Wrestlemania X-Seven.

Big Show was the first man to be eliminated from the Survivor Series and he was drafted to the RAW Brand after Wrestlemania X8. In addition, he was traded to SmackDown in 2002 and he defeated Brock Lesner becoming a two-time WWE Champion and later lost the title to Kurt Angle.

Big Show defeated Mr. America, Brock Lesner, and Kurt Angle and was Hulk Hogan's last appearance as Mr. America. John Cena won the title of the United States Championship from Show at Wrestlemania. He got injured in the match against Angle and was out of tv for several months.

In the weeks leading up to the match, he claimed to have " lost his dignity" when Angle reassured him with a dart gun in the middle of the ring and shaved his head on the SmackDown. Fifth Anniversary Show. At WrestleMania 21 Big Show lost against Akebono.

RAW Drafted Big Show in the 2005 WWE Draft lottery and successfully won against Gene Snitsky and also both played a match at Unforgiven. In the match, Snitsky was defeated and later in Street Fight on 26th September Snitsky was again defeated.

In the Taboo Tuesday, Big Show fought alongside Kane against Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch for the World Tag Team Championship. In the 14th episode of Raw, Big Show and Kane defeated SmackDown! Wrestlers and reigning MNM WWE Tag Team Champions in a non-title match between brands.

Rey Mysterio and Show played against each other on November 29th Smackdown Special and Kane's interference results in no-win. The Undertaker chased Show and Kane from the ring as they were playing against Ray. The show was disqualified from the WWE Championship after he lost to Shawn Michaels.

Big Show was defeated by Triple H at the New Year's Revolution. After having six-defeats, Big Show teamed with Kane against Carlito and Masters and won the game. Later that evening they both lost the World Tag Team Championship to Spirit Squad.

Big Show was drafted by the ECW Brand on June 7th and won his first match against Randy Orton. After defeating Van Dam, Show won the ECW World Heavyweight Championship and he became the first wrestler to win WWE Championship, ECW Heavyweight and WCW World Heavyweight. He also played against John Cena at Cyber Sunday and lost the match and also lost the Survivor Series. On February 8, 2007, his contract expired with ECW.

Big Show entered WWE replacing Jerry Lawler at the PMG Clash of Legends and he removed the name Big Show instead preferred to be called "The Great Wight".

Returning to WWE

Big Show returned to WWE on 2008, February 17 and his nose was broken by boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. after he challenged Big Show during a match with Edge. Show defeated CM Punk, John Morrison, Chavo Guerrero, and Tommy Dreamer in a match in Singapore Cane at the One Nightstand. Moreover, he interfered with many of the Undertaker's matches on SmackDown and won against Undertaker at No Mercy.

On 13 April, the Big Show was drawn up as part of the 2009 WWE draft for the Raw brand. He won against Kofi Kingston at the Night Of Champions winning six-pack challenge. Big Show received his title shot in a triple match against The Undertaker and Jericho in the Survivor Series, but the Undertaker retained his title successfully.  The show was drafted back to Smackdown in the 2010 WWE Draft.

On the 8th October episode of SmackDown, the Big Show was made the captain of the SmackDown team for Bragging rights. During the match, Big Show was counted with Sheamus, but his team eventually won with Edge and Rey Mysterio left in the team.

He took part in the Elimination Chamber match, eliminating Wade Barrett before being eliminated by Kane. In the following weeks, Big Show feuded with The Corre. Big Show and Kane played many matches in Smackdown and Wrestlemania together.  

Show returned and became the number one contestant for the World Heavyweight Championship on the 7th episode of SmackDown, after attacking Mark Henry and chokeslamming him through the TV channel. Henry was defeated by Show for the World Heavy Weight and he recorded the shortest-ever World Heavyweight Championship reign, 45 seconds.

Big Show failed to regain World Heavyweight at the Elimination Chamber after being eliminated by Cody Rhodes. He became the 24th wrestler winning Triple Crown Championship and also the 12th Grand Slam Champion in WWE. He was fired for doing mimicry of General Manager John Laurinaitis but was later re-signed.

Big Show earned World Heavyweight for the second time after defeating Sheamus at Hell in a Cell. Show defended its title against Alberto Del Rio in the 28th episode of SmackDown, but the match ended in a no-contest after Sheamus interfered and attacked Show. 

Later, he lost his title to Del Rio after 72 days rule. On Smackdown's March 1 episode Show Knocked Roman Reigns. The Shield defeat Show, Orton, and Sheamus at WrestleMania 29. After a brief hiatus, he returned on the Raw's June 1st episode, knocked out The Miz and confronted Intercontinental Champion Ryback.

He was the opponent of the Brock Lesner for WWE Network. In the Royal Rumble, he defeated Heath Slater. Big Show was also the part of the main event and also among the survivors of the 16-man elimination tag team match. Later, he was drafted to Raw on the 2016 WWE Draft.
