On May 27, 2014, Correa joined Atletico Madrid, signing a five-year deal for $8.74 million. However, he was relegated for six months because of a heart tumor. On June 18, he underwent surgery in New York. After two months, he started light training and officially joined the club on December 13.
On August 22, 2015, he finally made his debut for Atleti debut in a 1-0 home league match victory over UD Las Palmas, replacing Oliver Torres.
