Alisha Rebecca Glass, an American National, is an American indoor volleyball player, a winner of gold medal with United States National team at world championship back in 2014 and selected as the tournament’s Best Setter. She was born on April 5, 1988 in Leland, Michigan of United States. She was trained by her mother Laurie Glass at high school, who was also her high school volleyball coach. Alisha Glass played college women’s volleyball at Penn State University.
Alisha Glass has done high school at Penn State University in 2006. She finished her graduation from Penn State with a Major in kinesiology with a minor in human development and family studies. She started her career in 2006, where she played volleyball in class D state championship, producing a single-match record of 48 kills in the title match. She was named Miss Volleyball for the state of Michigan in 2006. She participated in NORCEA games held in 2014 and her team achieved a gold medal. In the same year she was named in the top 25 volleyball players by Detroit press. In the following year being a part of a Youth National A2 Team and USA Red Squad took gold at HP Championships in Texas. In 2009 she was named as a part of a national team of United States. She spent the 2015/2016 season playing for Italian club team Imoco Volley Conegliano before being selected to play on the USA Women’s Olympic Volleyball Team in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She suffered a serious ankle injury in 2015 before season to her Italy Club team but recovered well and soon join the team for the season.
Moving on to her personal life, she loves to do jigsaw puzzles during her free time. Alisha Glass is sharing happy love relation with Josh Childress, a former NBA player. Giving a pause to her volleyball career she wants to spend quality time with her family and her boyfriend. She also quoted, “wherever he ends up”. She also wants to spend a normal life for a while. She on her career related question replied, “I’ll see if that doesn’t pull me in a different direction”. If everything goes well and her personal life does not diverts her direction the other way from her sport she will continue to play the sport as she thinks it is not the permanent stop for the game.
She is criticized for posing semi nude in the magazine posing individually and with team but she was happy to do it and had great fun. She thinks it is just showcasing of athletes body that they have sacrificed for their sport.
