Alireza Beiranvand is an international footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for the National Team of Iran and the Portuguese League professional football club, Boavista. The 29-year-old footballer previously played for Naft Tehran and Vahdat.

Alireza Beiranvand has been honored with Persian Gulf Pro League Best Goalkeeper of the Year in 2014–017, Persian Gulf Pro League Team of the Year 2014-017 and named the 9th position at the Best FIFA Goalkeeper nominations so far. Alireza Beiranvand’s Career

Alireza Beiranvand began his football career as a member of the Vahdat in 2007. He then played for Naft Tehran from 2008 to 2013.

On July 1, 2011, Beiranvand was promoted to a senior team of Naft Novin from the Naft Novin U-19 team and made his debut against Damash on October 25, 2011, in the Hazfi Cup.

On March 23, 2014, Beiranvand renewed his contract with the team and would keep him until 2019. For the team, he played 69 games.

On July 1, 2016, Beiranvand moved to Persepolis with a two-year contract. He has so far played 47 games since 2016.

Beiranvand is a member of the team that won the Persian Gulf Pro League (2016-017) and the Iranian Super Cup (2017).

Alireza Beiranvand’s International Career

Alireza Beiranvand made his international debut with the Iran U-20 team in 2010, with whom he played one game.

Iran U-22 then called him up for the 2013 AFC U-22 Asian Cup Qualification, with whom he played 11 matches.

The senior team invited Beiranvand, but he didn’t make any appearances because of AFC Champions League along with Rahman Ahmadi.  He was named for the 2014 FIFA World Cup

On January 4, 2015, he earned his first international cap under coach Carlos Queiroz against Iraq.

Beiranvand became the first-choice goalkeeper in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification replacing Alireza Haghighi. Furthermore, Beiranvand saved a penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo as Iran drew 1–1 with Portugal in Iran's last match of the 2018 World Cup. He has been capped 18 times for his national team. He plays together with Saeid Aghaei and Sardar Azmoun in international matches.
