Aleksandar Rakic was born on February 6, 1992, in Vienna Austria. At the young age of 12, Rakic started training in boxing and later shifted to kickboxing. After completing high school, he started working as a waiter to finance his training.
On October 15, 2011, Aleksandar Rakic made his professional debut in a fight against Christian Radke at Rock the Cage. He lost the debut match in around one submission. Aleksandar Rakic and Richard Longhimo faced each other at Iron Fist Gym on March 18, 2012. Rakic won the bout with a TKO in round two of the match. After his fight with Longhimo, Rakic faced Laszlo Czene at World Freefight Challenge on June 03, 2012 and gained his third victory with a TKO in round 1.
