Aldo Sebastián Corzo Chavez or famously known as Aldo Corzo is a professional football player who plays as a right back for Peru National Team and the Peruvian professional football club, Club Universitario de Deportes since 2017. He wears jersey number 29 while playing for Universitario.

 

Apart from playing for several Peruvian football clubs, he has represented Peru at U-20 levels and made his international debut for Peru in 2009. He was interested in playing football and dreamed of playing for his country Peru since his childhood. To fulfill his dreams, he joined the youth rank of Club de Regatas Lima in 1999. He is currently studying Administration in Business at Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola.

After playing for the youth team of Regatas Lima, he began his senior playing career with fellow Peruvian football club, Alianza Lima in 2008. He played his debut match for Alianza Lima against Sports Boys and soon became an important fixture in the team. The defender appeared in 47 matches and scored a goal for the club.

After a successful stint at Alianza Lima, he signed a two-year contract with Universidad San Martin during early January 2010. He made over 150 appearances and scored  5 goals and was part of the team that went on to win Torneo Descentralizado in 2010.

For his outstanding performances, he won the Torneo Descentralizado Right back of the year in 2009. He was later transferred to Deportivo Municipal in 2016 and played 35 matches as well as scoring 5 goals for the club.

Aldo Corzo’s International Career

After representing Peru at U-20 South American Youth Championship in 2009 at Venezuela. He was called by Peruvian senior squad for a friendly match against Senegal on February 2, 2009.

His impressive performances at Peruvian clubs enable him to be selected to play for Peru at the  Copa America 2011 Argentina. He helped the team to secure the third position and win a bronze medal at the tournament.

Aldo Corzo along with fellow Peruvian teammates such as goalkeeper, Pedro Gallese, and Diego Penny as well as a striker, Paolo Guerrero played a crucial role to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Furthermore, he has been capped 24 times.
