Alana Rene Blanchard was born on March 5, 1990, in Kauai, Hawaii, United States. Daughter of Holt Blanchard, Alana was present when the Bethany Hamilton (friend of Alana’s father who was surfer herself) suffered shark attack which made her lose an arm.
Alana started competing since she was 9 and then she kept surfing and made it her profession.
Alana Blanchard's amazing surfer carrier started from 2005 T&C Women’s pipeline Championships. She took first place in shortboard category in the tournament. After that, she has won many competitions which ranked her 10th in the world of surfing.
She has won The Women’s Pipeline Championships in Hawaii. She also claimed the gold in The Rip Curl Girls Festival Junior Pro in Spain. Again in Hawaii, she stood first to win The Roxy Pro Trials in Haleiwa.
Alana also made The Billabong Pro Pre Trials in Hookipa, Maui championship trophy her. After that Alana made her successive win in The Volcom Pufferfish Surf Series in Pinetrees, Kauai and grabbed next trophy. After a very inspiring and successful career, Alana is expected to take a break from competitive surfing. Alana is a very popular international personality.

23-year-old Alana had an affair with Australia’s two-time junior world champion Jack Freestone. And they are dating since they knew each other in 2013. The first met each other on the North Shore of Oahu.
The couple is the parents of their child Banks Harvey Freestone who was born on January 1, 2018.
