Aaron Frank Mooy or simply known as Aaron Mooy is a professional football player who plays as a central midfielder for Australian National Team and English professional football club, Huddersfield Town. Apart from playing for several Australian soccer clubs, he has also played for top English Premier League club, Manchester City.

Aaron Mooy’s Bio and Early Career

Aaron Mooy was born on 15 September 1990 in Sydney, Australia to a Dutch mother and Australian father. He holds an Australian nationality through his birth.

Growing up, David Beckham was his idol and to pursue a dream of becoming a footballer, he joined the New South Wales Institute of Sport.

Aaron Mooy’s Professional Career

After playing for the youth team of Bolton Wanderers, he joined the main team in 2009 to start his senior playing career. He moved to Scotland and joined the Scottish football club, St Mirren in 2010, making his debut against Hearts.

The Australian midfielder scored his first goal for Mirren against Peterhead on 18 January 2011.

After his playing with the Scottish club, he moved back to Australia and signed with Australian clubs such as Western Sydney Wanderers and Melbourne City.

He has signed a three-year contract by English Premier League club, Manchester City on the summer of 2016 and after few days he was transferred to the fellow English club, Huddersfield Town for the rest of 2016/17 season as a part of the loan deal.

Mooy made his debut against Brentford on 6 August 2016 and scored his first goal for the English club against Leeds United on 10 September 2016. He later signed a permanent contract with the club for a reported transfer fee of around £8 million which could be raised to £ 10 million in the summer of 2017.

Mooy made his premier league debut for Huddersfield Town against Crystal Palace and scored his first goal against Newcastle United in 2017.

Aaron Mooy’s International Career

After playing for Australia at U-20 and U-23 as well as representing at the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2009 at Eygpt, he made his senior international debut for Australia against Guam. He scored his first international goal in the same match on 7 December 2012 during 2013 EAFF East Asian Cup Qualifiers.

He took part along with players such as striker, Tim Cahill for Australian led by Mark Milligan at the 2017 FIFA Confederation Cup. So far he has appeared in 32 matches scoring 5 goals for Australia.
