Before landing his steps at NHL, Jay Leach played hockey at Providence College from 1997 to 2001. After playing several years in the minor hockey league, he agreed on a contract as a free agent with the National Hockey League’s Boston Bruins on Sep 26 2003.
After playing several seasons with Boston Bruins, she signed as a free agent with Tampa Bay Lightning. He performed in two games with Tampa and spent most of his season with AHL. On Feb 26, 2008, he was acquired by Anaheim Ducks. He started 2010-11 seasons playing for the AHL Worcester Sharks but very soon, he was traded back to New Jersey Devils.
After took a retirement from his professional playing career, he becomes the coach of Adler Mannheim of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga in 2014 and helped his team to wins their sixth DEL championship.
