Jaden Schwartz is a professional Canadian Ice Hockey Player who is the alternate captain of his current team Seattle Kraken and plays as a left wing. He has spent 15 years playing ice hockey and has achieved many honors and titles. Jaden plays under jersey no.17 in Seattle Kraken for a deep emotional reason. Schwartz was part of the 2019 Stanley Cup-winning team along with St Lous Blues.

St. Louis Blues drafted Jaden in the first round on March 2, 2012, and signed a 3-years entry-level contract worth  $3,500,000. 

John extended his contract worth $4,700,000 for 2 years with The Blues on October 5, 2014. At the end of his contract, Schwartz again extended his contract for 5 years, bagging $26,750,000. During the 2 last seasons with The St. Louis Blues, he couldn't give 100% performance for The blues, the reason behind it is revealed below.

Jaden had 2 siblings, an older brother named  Rylan Schwartz and his late little sister Mandi Jocelyn Schwartz. Mandi Jocelyn Schwartz was also a Canadian ice hockey player who played for Yale Bulldog. She played under jersey number 17 in Yake Bulldogs, so to remember her, Jaden Schwartz, her brother, also played under jersey number 17 at both clubs, The St. Louis Blues and The Seattle Kraken.

Before she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia on December 8, 2008. She played 73 consecutive games with that team and was three times Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Hockey All-Academic. Even though she recovered briefly, she received word that her cancer had returned.

The doctors gave the two best options: cord blood or a bone marrow transplant. Doctors found a suitable donor from umbilical cord blood, and she underwent a successful transplant, but her cancer returned. Mandi decided to continue with chemotherapy to minimize her symptom. Mandi Jocelyn Schwartz died of acute myeloid leukemia on April 3, 2011. To honor her legacy, her family established Mandi Schwartz Foundation to donate and help blood cancer patients.

St. Louis Blues defeated Boston Bruins 4 times out of seven matches that were played in the final. It was Saint Louis blue's fourth appearance in the finals since 197. In 2019 The blues weren't strong from the beginning of the season. Later, as their journey progressed on, St. Louis defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 in the first round, eliminated the Dallas Stars in seven games, and won against San Jose Sharks in the conference final.

It was a proud and ecstatic moment for Jaden Schwartz, whose life is filled with sorrows of untimely demise. After 2 years, Jaden's father, Rick Schwartz, died from a heart attack. He honored his late little sister and made his heavenly father proud. 

Jaden Schwartz's Early Career

Jaden Schwartz played ice hockey in his early teens, and he played minor Ice Hockey tournaments. Jaden won the 2007 Mac's AAA midget hockey tournament. Swartz began his hockey career playing for Notre Dame Hounds in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. 

Jaden Schwartz was named SJHL's Rookie after scoring 34 goals and 42 assists in 46 junior games and was awarded Top Offensive Player honors in 2009-2010 USHL. As a fresher, he scored two goals and assisted in helping Colorado College to win the NCAA tournament.

During his sophomore year, John recorded 15 goals and 26 assists for 41 points in only 30 games and played as the team's captain at the World Junior tournament. He didn't compete in the final 2 years of NCAA and started his professional journey by signing a contract with the St. Louis Blues.

The Death Of His Father Affected Him Mentally

The past years 2020 and 2021, were pretty tough on Jaden Schwartz's family as they were filled with sorrow due to Jaden's dad, Rick Schwartz's demise in November 2021 cause of a heart attack.

Schwartz wasn't in top condition and missed 16 games that season with an oblique injury which ended his journey for The Blues. His sister's untimely demise deeply wounded Jaden's family, and the demise of his father was just unbearable to them.

Jaden said he didn't finish well with the blues, which sucks, and explained why he wasn't mentally ready for an NHL season. After ending his contract with The Blues, Schwartz moved on without giving up and started a new journey with Seattle Kraken.
