An American professional baseball first baseman, Dan Johnson currently plays for ‘Pericos de Puebla” as a baseman and pitcher. Johnson began his professional career joining Oakland Athletics in 2005 and his first match came on May 27, 2005. He has played three seasons for the club until 2008.

Johnson then joined the Tampa Bay Rays in 2008. His first home run came against the Boston Red Sox, tying the game. In his 2008 season for the club, he batted .192 with a .276 base percentage. After a year, he signed a one year deal with Yokohama Baystars in 2009 for $1.2 million for Central League. For the club, he batted with an average of .215 during the 2009 season.

Johnson then signed with his former club, "Tampa Bay Rays" on January 11, 2010, for  $500,000. He later hit a walk-off home run against the Boston Red Sox. In the 2010 season, his batting average rate was .198. He was named for the MLB award for his 162 appearances with the Greatness in Baseball Yearly.

Johnson then signed a minor league deal with Baltimore Orioles on August 20, 2013, before a minor league with Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees.

Dan Johnson signed with Toronto Blue Jays on November 15, 2013, after an invitation to spring training. After spending minor league contract with Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals and the Third stint with Tampa Bay, he signed a contract with Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Johnson was then sent to Long Island Ducks and released in June of 2016 and signed with St. Paul Saints. He was named as a rookie status pitcher. He then signed a deal with Los Angeles Dodgers in August of 2016. After a year with the club, he signed a deal with the Mexican Baseball League club, “Pericos de Puebla" as a hitter and starting pitcher.

In the year 2017, Johnson assigned to the Bravos de Leon after releasing from Pericos de Puebla.  As a successful baseball player, he has been honored with Co-Player of the Week along with his teammate Jack Cust, MLB Award, Topps All-Star Rookie First Baseman (2005) and, 2011 Moment of the Year Award.

Johnson got married to his wife, Holly Johnson in a private ceremony.  Currently, the couple is enjoying their relaxed lifestyle with their three children, Blake born on 2008, Ellison- 2012 and Kaden- 2005.  The duo first met at the University of Nebraska.
