Scouting Grade And Reports

Chandler signed a two-way draft committed to Clemson to play both baseball and football. He is a high upside on the mound who transforms into a switch-hitting shortstop anytime he’s not on the hill.

Minor football injuries brought the quarterback’s high school basketball career to a premature end before his junior year.

As a (baseball) senior in 2020, completed 116-of-229 passes for 1,842 yards and 18 touchdowns while also rushing 79 times for 548 yards and six scores on the ground.

He originally committed to Georgia for baseball, but later flipped to Clemson when the Tigers offered him a football scholarship as a quarterback. His future looks brighter in baseball, as he's a potential first-round pick as a pitcher and some scouts believe he shows more promise at shortstop. Marcelo Mayer is the top prospect of the 2021 MLB Draft.

After working with an 88-93 mph fastball last summer, Chandler has made a leap to operating at 92-95 and touching 97 this spring.
