Leah made her career debut being employed at Bob Vandergriff Racing. She took part in the Carquest Auto Parts NHRA Nationals on February 28, 2016, in Chandler, Arizona. She made her first career national event win on the professional level defeating Brittany Force in the first all-female final round in Top Fuel.

Pritchett has competed in Pro Mod and Nostalgia Funny Car and made her debut in Top Fuel in 2013. On February 4, 2017, she made the fastest pass by going 3.654 seconds at 331.85 mph over a 1,000-ft distance during the Nitro Spring Training at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona. This is the current fastest record ever made in NHRA history. Since the pass did not occur at an actual NHRA sanctioned event, it will not be considered an official national record.

Leah set the official national elapsed time record in Top Fuel on February 24, 2017, at the same track, going 3.658 seconds at 329.34 MPH. This event was held during the second qualifying round at the NHRA Arizona Nationals. As of February 24, 2018, at Chandler, AZ, she set the new best speed of 334.15 mph (537.76 km/h).

Prichett won the medal in her category, whereas Courtney Force also won. She has won many awards during her professional career, among which her recognized award is the Spirit of Drag Racing Award. The publisher/editor of CompetitionPlus.com, Bobby Bennett, presented the trophy to her at zMAX Dragway during pre-race ceremonies for the NHRA Carolina Nationals. The honor is commonly given to someone who has preserved and remained positive despite hardship.
