Ivan Rakitic is a renowned Croatian footballer who plays as a central or attacking midfielder for Spanish club FC Barcelona and the Croatian national team. He started his professional career with Swiss club team, Basel. He was the part of the team Croatia in 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Rakitic was born on 10 March 1988 in Mohlin, Switzerland. He is of Swiss nationality and holds the citizenship of Croatia. He was born to Kata Rakitic and Luka Rakitic. Nikol and Dejan are his siblings.
